I’m back in Goa after the WordCamp in Mumbai #WCMumbai and I must say that it was an awesome experience. This was my second WordCamp, the first one being WordCamp Nashik 2016. Nashik had been a last minute decision and I had decided to drive down from Goa with a small group. Since Mumbai is so well connected to Goa by flight I decided to fly down. I wanted to write an article on WordCamp Nashik but procrastination got the better of me. Maybe I’ll write an article when I attend the next one 🙂
It’s awesome to know that the whole setup for WordCamp Mumbai was done with volunteers and the whole crew needs a huge thumbs up for pulling off an awesome WordCamp in Bandra !!
The sessions on the first day were geared with a more technical outlook of WordPress and I learned a lot from all the speakers. It was great to meet Mr. Sudar Muthu who has been a hero to my WordPress learning days.
The second day started late for me as I had to catch up on some client visits in Mumbai and I was able to catch the post-lunch sessions. I had to leave before the last session by Nirav Mehta which I didn’t want to miss but I had to head for a private screening of a collaborative film one of my clients had made.
Overall, it was awesome to meet so many familiar faces in the WordPress community and also see a lot of new ones. Going to a WordCamp is always a welcome break as you get to see what everyone has been passionate about and learn some new ways to tweak your own experience with WordPress.
